At the annual awards ceremony, held in the newly designated city of Newry, Northern Ireland, Ashview Software Limited were voted runners-up in the, 'Most Innovative Company' category, of the 2001 Small Business Excellence Awards. This is the first year the company has entered the awards and the Managing Director, Robert Louden, said he was, "delighted with the result". The Awards are organised by LEDU's Southern Region Office and Craigavon, Banbridge, Mourne and Armagh District Councils. This was the last official public engagement by LEDU before it becomes part of Invest Northern Ireland which was formed following the 'Good Friday Agreement'. August 2001 Ashview Software is contracted by Geest PLC Spalding, England (one of the UK's leading fresh food suppliers) to write the specialist reporting reporting systems for there new inventory software and to provide in-house training in Crystal Reports for the internal MIS group. Two Ashview engineers worked closely with the Geest management team and the original software providers to enhance the in-house reporting capability. February 2001 Ashview is engaged by the Progress Group PLC the design and write applications for their Progress Ltd and Shoreheat Ltd subsidiaries. The modules include Sales Order Processing, Process Tracking, Diary management and Contacts database systems. The software is to be written in Microsoft Visual Basic with Microsoft SQL server taking care of the data storage. The system will be implemented as an nTier solution using Com+ and ADO for the data transport layer. When complete the system will be installed in 19 depots throughout the UK with each depot linked to head office using dial on request networking and local database mirroring to keep the telecommunications costs to a minimum. September 2000 Ashview Software is contracted by FieldCentrix Inc, Irvine, Southern California to help write the administration module for version 3 of their exciting new wireless Internet-based software solution for the field service industry. Ashview software flew four engineers out to LA to work with the internal development group on this key part of the product. Ashview also provided consultancy services to the marketing group for the internationalisation and localisation of the product. July 2000 Ashview Software is contracted by FieldCentrix Inc, Irvine, Southern California to help write the web based reporting system for their exciting new wireless Internet-based software solution for the field service industry. Ashview software flew five engineers out to California to work with the web development group to produce the reporting system and with QA to write the internal bug tracking system used when developing version 3.00 of this innovative product. Ashview staff in Northern Ireland also worked directly on the system over a T1 link between the Ashview and FieldCentrix Servers. What can we do for you?
